Default Pro-Line Pro-2 SCT kit

Just saw this on Big Squid RC. Makes one wonder if it will compete with the SC10.2 and TLR 22SCT. Looks intriguing.

never understood the motivation behind adding $400 in parts to fix a $200+ truck, in hopes it can compete with trucks that cost much less than $400 from the get go (no upgrades required).

end of the day you still have a slash , and a pile of junk parts you replaced.

Ty Tessman ran this truck at the Calgary Stampede a while back and TQ'ed and won the mains.

A few very fast drivers here in SoCal run these with great success.

They run Series races such as JBRL and Top Notch Series which are huge series here in Cali. Some people don't understand what they are talking about and some do.

Umm, it's pretty clear there are no slash parts in this kit. All of it is made by proline. Also, a $390 price point is very competitive to the tlr 22sct which is $370. Looks very competitivitive in a performance aspect as well. No upgrades needed either.

A guy at my track runs one of these and he is very fast with it , But he ditched the powerstroke shocks for velvet's and says its the tits with them . I was never a fan of the powerstrokes the large shaft with the small body throws off the compression/rebound of the shock .

um, what is pretty clear is that this is not a complete truck. a roller does not come in the box.
if you want a $600 truck so you can feel pride in beating other $300-350 kits, then have at it.

all they've done here is supply parts they've had available for months in one package.

What parts are missing that make you think "a roller does not come in the box"?

Dude you need to admit your wrong and bow out LOL

It's a complete semi race roller, some of it is assembled some of it isnt but there is NO SLASH NEEDED. It's complete and from what I can tell from big squids un-boxing there isn't a slash part carried over except maybe the turnbuckles but I'm probably wrong on that.

last I checked, and mind you i'm going off the words of a buddy of mine that has one, but proline does not make every part for a slash.
if they do, then my apologies.

but still, the $390 price tag exceeds the next highest competitor by about $70. and it'still a slash.

Hey, your join date is showing. It's a complete kit, comes with tires and wheels and body unlike some companies. All you need is electronics. Have no idea where you got $600.

It's not a slash. All made by proline. Btw the tlr 22sct is $370 and doesn't come with tires. Again, have no idea where you got $70 or any of your prices.

when you factor in that it comes with $40 worth of usable tires, the difference is less. plus, we don't know if the $390 is MSRP or street price. i've gotta believe the street price will be less. needs a ball diff though.

I like it ! Its a great deal for that price to start out with on a racing 2wd SC should be just as competive as the big name race kits and rollers. Heck i might get one for indoor racing or outdoor.

And thats not a Slash at all.
