Default RC Racing Designs TLR 22 SCT Conversion Thread

As soon as the 22T has came out , us over at RCRD have been working to create what some wants too see what losi should do next.

RCRD will be selling these conversion chassis soon,
in testing now.

Parts list used……
Keep in mind you are not limited and I have had and seen many ways to get bumper and body mounts to work..

What I used…

Front end:
: SC10 RPM front bumper (mounted to 22t existing bumper)
: traxxas bandit front axles 2437 (shimmed behind the hub)
: 22t front hexes
: sc10 front body mount (dremeled to fit and bolted with shock mounts)
: body post lengthened with hpi body post extensions

Rear end:
: SC10 motor guard (modified mount to fit under 22t hinge pin block)
: SC10 rear bumper and body mount
: 1/2 inch spacer between shock tower and rear bumper
: 22 buggy rear axles

I watched him run this last night and I was quite impressed! It looked super planted with tons of steering. I just might have to dump my SC-R and get one of these.

I got to see the truck run yesterday as well. Just let me say it looked so plush on landings and turned like mad. For sure an awesome conversion!

Hows the parachute with the narrow chassis? Does the weight of it keep it down?

Impressive!! But, without fins built in, isnt there a chance of the chassi breaking easier?
I do however applaud the build and re-design!!
I will be checking back frequently!

I have some question regarding the rigidity of the chassis on the area behind the "side pods" and the esc/rear chassis brace. Other than those i'm very interested into putting this into my 22t.

this is why its a "protype" we are testing right now, final production run from us may/will change.
