Frank,

Do you have an updated set-up sheet for the 22 2.0...I have been using your's/ryan's original MM set up as i'm also at OCRC often and really like it.

My intention is to purchase the bell cranks when they become available and wondering how/if that changes the set up you posted some time ago.

thanks,

The team guys have been running bell cranks all year, so all of those setups account for them.

On a Tekin RS Pro run about 7-8% drag brake. Every ESC will feel a little different, as well as every motor so you may need to play with it but a slight drag brake will help set the front of the car as you roll out entering the corner.

Push Brake -
This is personal preference and also depends on your throttle control under braking but usually my brake amount is down around 50-60%. I set the brakes so that at full push brake at the end of the straight, the car will just scrub the rear tires, not go to full lock up. If you have a good throttle finger, you can get away with more brake, if you can modulate it yourself.
Thanks SkipGear. That makes sense.

I'll start playing with a little drag brake and see how I like it.

Good idea on the push brakes (didn't know there was a real term for that). I like having a lot of brakes available for "Oh crap" moments. Maybe now that I have a decent radio, I can dial in some expo on the brake side so I still have max braking at full push....

Full disclosure, I've been in and out of this hobby for 20-30 years. Until somewhat recently, I ran clapped out, outdated junk. Now, I have what I feel is the best junk you can buy (name brand battles notwithstanding). I have had a steep learning curve, recently, and I'm probably been driving the same way I did 25 years ago. By the time my eyes are gone, and my reflexes are too slow to drive a mod buggy, I'll probably have it all figured out

For sure...but what i found by using your/ryan's set ups they are more for mortals...tried the others and while i didn't have the bell cranks...didn't really like the balance..sure i could take it from there and adjust for my liking, but considering how comfortable i was with your balance..i thought you would have an update with bell cranks and go from there...

They are, just waiting for them to arrive, pretty darn soon, but I don't have a super precise date at the moment.

Hoping I get one from the first arrival, had them on back order since they were on the Horizon site.

Anyone break a mm trans case yet? I broke one last night ...first time out with it. Is this common or a fluke? Also anyone know of a aluminum one if it's common? ???

Ran my 22 2.0 for the first time this past weekend @ the region 8 race in Kansas City. Wanted to share my setup, based off the OCRC setup. The car is very well balanced, I ran my car when the track was moist and more hooked up and during the day when the track was loose....again well balanced and easy to drive as a mid motor. Qualified 8th and finished 5th. I used the exotek steering rack, and the rocket rc rear weight. I did on accident notice I forgot to put the front screws in the rear tower mount and it allowed more flex so I put them back and kept them loose since the track was lower grip.

MY setup sheet is attached

What's the K-car front spring that everyone is trying? Ordered what a website said were the gold fronts but they sent me orange super hard rears!! That's $25 down the drain. LOL

Thanks Frank. It broke where it bolts up between the shock tower.
