That's all we run. They work great, don't bend of break like the original ones sometime could. Same ball studs, no change there.

ok, cool. I am looking to drop a little weight on the 22. My cups are starting to get sloppy, so might ideal to get the HD set.

Does that make them a tad softer?

Thanks for the replies..

Same ball studs but you use the HD ball cups from the 22-4 and the SCT which accept the larger thread.

Mainly a 1/8 nitro guy, I have a RM TLR 22 2.0 I run, but not raced yet, that works really well thanks to info found here.

I would like to try MM, but am overwhelmed by the multiple setup options, add-ons required.

I run at the SDRC Raceway track in San Diego.

Anyone familiar with the this track and have a base setup ( including must have options) that will work well there?

Maybe Frank? Have you run there with good results?

Thanks,

Mark

Are there any differences in the shock bodies from the 1.0 to the 2.0?

Really SCT related as I want to rebuild my sons SCT with the seals that come with the 2.0 buggy.

Thanks,
Joe

The 2.0 shock parts (machined bushings and o-rings) will fit in any 22 style shock body. do both at the same time though. (bushings and o-rings).

I'm having problems with the ballcups popping off my new build with the HD set when I try to adjust them. I usually use beeswax chap stick but this time used the black thrust bearing grease as one of you guys recommended. It's like they are too long.

No, I've never had to do that before. I guess I'm going to have crappy looking ballcups this season! Unless I re-do them all with new cups but what a waste.

I hear yea..I picked up a ballcup wrench with my 22 2.0 build and it's my life saver. I don't use it often but when i do it saves some of my sanity.

Thumbs up Put the turnbuckle in a drill

Take out your drill take off ball cup end, put bare turnbuckle into chuck. Then work the end on and off in and out at least 6 times with some lube. Flip it,Then do the other side. No more popping off.
