I am still running the FR rm setup also. I mainly play with oils and springs. Right now, I am hunting for less steering, lol. I am kinda thinking about lowing my voltage to the servo to slow it down. I am thinking .08 speed might be over kill. I dunno, I TQ'd last weekend and pulled off my best run, but followed it with counter steering corners and watching the rear chase the front.
Does your remote offers a servo speed option? If so, see if you can slow down response independently from centering speed. That way you can still catch the rear end stepping out.

yeah, it does. I could play with it. I think the lower temps are part of the problem.

Can you just play with the 'steering speed' setting on your radio? A lot simpler then altering voltages. Started altering the steering speed this year for dirt oval racing, at the advise of a few national champion level drivers...car is much more neutral and forgiving. Not sure how it would work in offroad, in sure you wouldn't want to lower the speed a ton...

I might play with it. Radio tuning is always nice because you can undo changes quickly during practice laps. I was running the BEC at 7+ volts, but it was very hard to drive the car. So I lowered to 6v. The car was very good most of the time. Like I said, I did TQ and pulled my best run on this layout. So I was not really looking to make big changes. I tried longer rear links before and the car was kinda hard to rotate, and with stiffer or softer rear springs, it either rolled too much or drove too flat. Same with the front springs. I might play with servo speed on the radio in practice next weekend, or better yet, smooth out my steering. lol

Anyway, I saw that phend was running a MM setup with very little added weight at the reedy. I hope his setup will be posted somewhere. Evan 2wd car looked great also.

His own setup. Because of his extreamly aggressive driving style he kinda has to do his own thing. His car I believe was a little more supported the. The rest of the team. He had some weight in it.

I talked to JP in Ohio and he planned on using his setup from there at Reedy, at least to start. I'm sure he will confirm it in a few days after he comes down from his high

It's loosely based off Dustin's setup. He runs thinner oil in the rear and thicker in the front though. I wanna say it's 35 fr and 22.5 rear but I can't remember for sure.

I was thinking of running the TLR weights off the back of the tranny, but sounds like with a little adjustment to driving style, I can go without.
Shock setup is a bit different. I'd start with something close to this setup: http://www.tlracing.com/ProdInfo/Fil..._Mid_Motor.pdf

Rates of the LF springs are much closer, all between standard white and yellow more or less. Check out the chart here:

You'd want to go from 78/22 to something like 76/21 to keep a similar ratio. Benefit is having the motor further back in MM, or further forward in RM. I think is just help the weight balance. I run 19/76 in my MM car with a 6.5T.
