My take on the custom Mid Motor shorty setups not quite together yet, but it seems like everything should work okay

Yes, that's been done many times before.

I'm terrified that I'll bend my chassis without the waterfall brace.

No big deal, I know you've come over from the AE side. But the original 22 has been out about 3 years now, and just saying a lot of things have been tried before. Finding enough room for all the electronics has always been a struggle when running the car in mid motor configuration with the original car, along with guys seeking ways to increase rear traction. People quickly found out that removing or loosening the bottom screws on the waterfall allows the rear of the chassis to flex more, and I think I saw an article about modifying the rear motor chassis bulkhead to use as an ESC mount at least a year ago (maybe 2). It's all about finding what works for you, and now that the 2.0 has guys trying mid motor again these things are just popping up again. You might want to read through the original 22 discussion, and pick up some other ideas to try.

Hey guys I need some help. I just put a complete new diff (TLR232000) into my 22 converted to a 2.0 mid motor with new avid bearings but I have play left to right when I install my diff into the case. It's about 1-1.5mm when I push it in one direction, I tried to look for some shims to tighten it up but I've had no luck so I thought I would check to see if anyone has had this problem and how or what you used to tighten it up. Thank you in advance.

I assume your running it with an m12? I still want to know how much of the telemetry would work with the mt4.

I use some 10x12 shims to avoid the play (don't get rid of it completely because of heat). There are some kits out there with 0.1, 0.2 and/or 0.3mm shims.

For example: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...mm-02mm-8-ZX-5
