Good basher, but not so great of a racer. I find it a bit heavier than the others, and tends to understeer real bad at high speed corners.

The ultra LX is not a bad buggy the axles are weak since they are only 6mm as opposed to the typical 8mm. I would probably get the Ravager or Ultra comp over it though. Actually I'd rather get the Jammin X1 cr over all of those. The Ravager has C-hub suspension which is very strong.

my budget is pretty good....im planning on racing it later after some mods, i used to in rc about a year ago, i had an hpi rs4 3 ss, yesterday i dug it up, and sold it to a friend, i started it up for him and stuff and showed him....when i grabbed that remote, i remembered how fun it was......so i decided to get back into rc, 1/8th buggy style....

If you have a fairly good budget, skip the Ultra LX and get something more capable. If you're looking for a RTR, you can't beat the Jammin X1 RTR. If you're looking at kits, check out the Hyper7s, the MP777s, Thunder Tiger's S3, and pretty much anything else someone mentions hereafter.

if you do get a kit the price of it all starts to add up real fast so just get a GOOD rtr and get new electronics and engine later the sportworks and jammin are awsome deals
