Hobbywing 60A ESC + 8.5T/4000kV motor combo. Budget friendly while still an awesome reliable setup.

Or, any Hobbywing SCT combo would be fine.
OR... A HobbyKing 60A or 100A ESC with a motor around 4000kV from HobbyKing.

Could i get a 60a hobbywing ezrun esc and use it with any tacon motor? Also which kv should i get? I want it to go as fast as it can without it having slow acceleration and not enough torqe.

Like mentioned before, any Tacon motor around 4000 kV should be good. That ESC would work.

I'd just throw a velineon setup in it (one on ebay for $149 at the moment) and run it on 3S. Fast as a diarrhea mudslide.

The velineon does not do so well on 3s it's also not the most reliable esc. The motor is fine though.
I would get the castle sidewinder3 with the 4600kv combo. 100 dollars on tower hobbies shipped and has much more power than anything else in the same price range.

Thing is though, the Velineon ESC's aren't the most reliable ESC, are a pain to program certain things, and don't like 4-pole motors. The Hobbywing/HobbyKing route is much better bang for buck and more reliable.

Thanks for the suggestion but for that price i might as well just get the castle sidewinder. Also does anyone else have any other suggestions and do you think i should get the sidewinder sct combo or a 80 amp hobbywing esc with a takon motor? One more question do you think 4600kv in the sidewinder is going to be enough torqe? Thanks

Get the Sidewinder 3 if you want waterproof. Sidewinder SCT if it doesnt matter. 4600kv will be plenty fine, but the 3800 1410 size motor that comes with the SCT is a beast.
