Please makes some noise on RPM's FB page to get their attention if you would like to see this happen. I see that a few guys have already done so.
They are not going to make one...it costs wayyyyyy to much to design..have an injected mold made and then produce them in QTY.

The part is not consumable like an arm...while most people will break an arm..very few will break a tower. Look at their biss model it's 90% arms..there is a reason for that.

There is just no money in it for them. Do you know how many units they would have to sell just to cover the cost of the injection mold? on a what $8.00 part?

Well we'll leave it up them to make that call. Like I said earlier, it can't hurt to try, right?

Of course...can always try. It's always better for the consumer to have options.

why such a small pinion? Just wondering. Are you running boost/ timing in the esc for top end and have the small pinion for torque? Im running a 22 but my esc in blinky and 85%. Med/ Small indoor track.

my temp was over 190 with 21 gear..I put 19 and it's 160 ..I really liked the 21..but what I understand is 160 temp is ideal..orion manual says 180 max temp..was thinking of motor fan and cutting body open more so I can run higher gear..suggestions?

D&^m, 190. only asking because Im new to the whole 4wd thing, but should a 5.5 be getting that hot? Your track is easily twice the size of mine but wow, that seems really high for a 1/10 buggy. You would think the 5.5 would barely be getting worked with this car? Am i totally off thinking that? Tessman must have been over 200 every round at the reedy, he was running a 23 pinion on a similar sized track. Even with his motor fan he was 2 teeth higher.

Wheel spin or lack thereof can have a huge impact on motor temp. Driving style has an impact on it too. My son is running a 19 tooth with a Viper 4.5 on a tight medium high bite indoor clay track. His motor temps haven't gotten over 150° in a 5 minute race and he seems to be keeping tires a bit longer than some of the other guys as well. Maybe a little smoother on the throttle? Less wheel spin? Probably.

I am guilty of heavy throttle and wheel spin..its fun...tire blistering, wheelie pooping, and chassis twisten. .lol

I have a 6.5 with a 23 pinion and running at IE my motor never gets over 115 and the ESC is under a 100deg. Could you possibly have a bad motor or some bind in your drive train. I do run a motor fan for extra insurance but I don't think it's going to cool it drastically.

Kind of what I was thinking. My son and I both run 5.5s in blinky(which should run hotter) both have 22 pinions. We can run a full pack through our cars and the motors seem got to touch but are only 145. Our traction is similar maybe a little less than ierc so we spin the wheels a lot. I run mine at 85% and my son constantly creeps his up, I think he's at 95 right now. No motor fans. One motor is an Orion VS pro and the other is a reedy mach2. If I were to get some air to the motor it would probably be 135. Our track is tight lots of turns hard on brake hard on throttle.

Cool, I've been waiting for locking hexes. Too bad they're not selling fronts yet.
