Did it remove a lot of slop and make steering more consistent? What about the RCShox pistons, have any experience with them? Looking for some machined pistons.

got mine in the mail today. just installed it. no slop whatsoever. will test tomorrow and race saturday. will report back

It takes all of the slop out of the rack it's self. I run the rcshox pistons. I think they are very good and high quality.

I'm running one. It does remove the slop caused by the stock bar, which is significant. But even with the bar, the amount of slop up front is pretty ridiculous, IMHO. The plastic cups don't fit tight on the ball studs and there is a bunch of slop in the hubs.

I've got one as well and it works great. I was worried about the slop though. I snapped the stock akerman on the second race day with the buggy.

good one, a little drag brake will make the car stable during jumping since the front is slightlt less weight than the rear?

No jump issues as of yet, and I do run some drag brake. I am going to try and turn it off on Saturday now that I have changed my set up.

Gonna put a 10.5 Turnigy trackstar in my D413 to get comfortable then upgrade, my FDR calculator says I would need a 30t pinion? Can anybody provide insight? Running on a Tekin RSX a.

I would put a 7.5T in there and call it a day. Why waste money on two motors.
This was my 1st 4w Buggy and the 7.5 felt perfect and still room to turn it up and gear up as well, for a couple of the 1/8 tracks I've gone to.

for your 10.5 it looks like a 29 or 30 should work according to the gearing chart on the first page

when I ran my 10.5 I ran a 32t pinion. so I would say you are in the ball park.

Ok cool. I ordered a 29t, I have 24t coming for the 6.5 when I get it. A 29t puts the FDR at 8.2179

I just put a 7.5 in with a 24t, havent ran it yet, what pinion and size track do you have?
