Wow really that sucks. You should have contacted him he would have sent you a new pair free of charge. He has a very good warranty policy and is easy to reach either from his thread here on rctech or his website.

But bottom line that really does suck that you had that issue.

it is pretty bumpy here, but the bite is pretty high. honestly, I just need 1 step higher than the HB Gold. I just need to support the front more going into high speed 180s with breaking.

I use blue in my B5m sometimes. Might be to soft for a 4wd. I will probably pickup yellow and red and try both. AE springs are cheap

The only area my car is lacking pack is on big flat landings everywhere else the car feels good.

Has anyone gone back to running bladders? Maybe reducing the amount of air in the shocks will increase pack.

we have a few smallish jumps with flat landings. so the car slaps unless I stay on the power as I land. I was running bladders, but I cant bleed those for crap. so I went with cut bladders

Where is your dot setting on the bellcrank? No matter what I change on the set up my car drove like crap with the dot facing forward per manual.

I had the same problem, just about every wheeler runs the 2x1.6 front and 2x1.7 rear piston setup with a large amount of success. This wheeler sucked ass with that setup and I went as high as 47.5 front and 42.5 rear and it was still way bouncy. So, I went the other way and tried 35 front and 30 rear and it was even WORSE. The only conclusion I can come to is that TY is running a special Pro-Line piston, or the Xgear and Kyosho springs are just that much better. Cause I also tried TLR and AE springs to no avail. Long story short after a full day of testing, I settled on 4x1.3 pistons on all 4 and 40wt. on all 4. with the stock springs. The car felt pretty good but was still a little on the soft side.

yeah, I have the 1.3x4 and I agree. It is a little bit soft. I think 1-2 spring rates up and it should be good. The problem is....Different sping's rates are not easy to compare. Why? well I talked to some people that have a high dollar spring tester. And I was told many of the springs out there are not really what they say...but if you go stiffer with a particular brand, you get a stiffer spring, but to directly compare to AE would not work without driving the springs. that is why I want to try yellow and red AE front. I think one of them will be good. I want to try ae white and grey rears also. I thin k those springs will get me where i want

And another thing is, I cannot find out whether tessman and fischer run emulsion or bladder style, cause it would make a significant difference. But I dont know of any pro level drivers that run bladders so i would think their setups are emulsion?

I also thought 2 x 1.6 and 2 x 1.7 was too soft. I finally settled on 3 x 1.3 all around with 37.5 in the front and 32.5 in the back. I am happy with the front but the back is still a little soft. Might try 35 or am tempted to go 2 x 1.6 or 2 x 1.5 in the rear.

But so far the 3 holes are good and seem to work well in various conditions, med to med-high traction.
