They had to stop production of the boxes to change the art to D414 so it is taking a little longer

Default Not at Tower Yet

tower does not even list it yet which i find interesting they have always gotten the first hot bodies stuff in.
Maybe cause its still not as close as what they are telling us or it will all come at one time.
Ready to ship that would be nice for those that really want the car.
I am going to wait and see how well the xray of mine holds up.
Have been wanting to build a car have been busy with foam planes ,,,,have not built a car in 3 years.
this car seems like it would be a great build and its hot bodies takes me back to truggy days with the LSP i loved that thing and did really good with it!

Default bad customer service ( my opion )

got to be honest here, this is BS on HB part. Get a Freaking date out already. atleast something to give a est time of release. I mean you guys at HB must be dumb as rocks seeing all these other 1/10 4x4 buggy's getting released or atleast a DATE to be released. I was hoping to get this HB to try out my 1st one but crap like this makes me wonder what type of company you really are with customer service. Countless people asking for a date and yet nothing by you guys as other company's have to go thru the same process and manage to release dates. I have been waiting but like others Im abot t say screw it and just order the 410v4 or even the xray 14 kinda bs Hot Bodies

For all of you people bitching about not having a date. Is it better to publish a release date and then not meet itor to not publish a release date until you actually know when it will happen?

Clearly they had a plan to release this thing in Nov (as stated early in the thread) and something happened to change that. They have chosen to not make that reason public and my guess is that they really don't have a solid date yet so rather than put out some artificial date and mis it they are choosing to not put anything out.

Calling people names is a really poor tact to take if you ever want a company rep like Torrance to come back to the forum and post anything. Just really dumb.

I got no problem with them not releasing a product until it is finished.

However, being open and communicating what is being worked on, even if in some general sense goes a long way with the community of those interested in the vehicle.

I gave up on the HB car. I figure it might be summer before the car and parts support is in place. Every year this crap happens because of the China hollidays. This year, there were shortages of batteries, part and cars because of this.

I wonder if they canned it? It would not be the first time that HB or another company for that matter took a car to prototype and then cancelled production for one reason or another.

I hope not because it sported some interesting innovations (especially love the marks on the shock shafts for droop - simple and brilliant). It is however a possibility.

I don't necessarily need a specific release date, that they can or can not make....but it only takes a few seconds to come on here and communicate with possible customers the status of the project. If its late, come on once a week and let us know what is going on. Simple, easy, and takes hardly any time

It is what it is. last year it was the same thing with AE. They missed the Xmas shopping with several releases. I am just amazed that companies miss the Xmas shopping deadline and do jan/feb releases. Seems like it would be more profitable to release before Xmas. Plus, the HB car did really good at the worlds and now they are missing sales from people who were motivated after seeing it take out 2x b44's, lol.

As others have stated, I also don't need an exact date. I just want an update. Are things progressing? At a high level can we be told more. Are we moving towards something or are things on hold. I really wanted this car but with the lack of updates, I'm thinking it will be a 22-4. I had even purchased shorty batteries for the car. Guess they will all be used in my tlr 22.

If things were going well on this for production and distribution we would be hearing more now. I can only assume the silence is brought on by unforeseen delays and they simply do not have any target date at all. And they see silence as a better solution than admitting to falling short on some leg of getting us this new wheeler.

When the 22-4 hits your LHS it's going to be game over for HB because of this. If we had some kind of a date then some people might hold off, but the way there going about is doing exactly what is being posted on here right now.

well, I have a feeling the love for the 22-4 will be short lived. I could be wrong, but I am not sure a revamped 13 year old car will keep peoples interest for long.
