What kind of heat are you getting on 20? I'm worried I might be too high. I was a nitro guy, so electric gearing I'd new to me. Any good links to understand reductions?
Hope I'm not hijacking dirt diggers post!
My temp on the motor was 105deg F. after 6 minutes. My track is a slight up hill straight 90 ft. long with very hard braking in the last 8ft. or so and I run some boost and timing on my Hobbywing Just stock speedo. and the motor timing is set at 30°
Last night I had the lap record for 1 heat but my buddy got me by1.5 tenths in the main........

I did finally try the car with the long wheelbase with the Avid chassis and the car was faster that way although a little bit pushy.

The exotek spur gear cover itself is aluminum but the spur gear is plastic. Make sure you use loctite on those 4 screws while you are installing it !

If you're in the states, and want buy locally from a hardware/tool supply store that doesn't carry metric bits a 1/16 and #51 drills will be close to what you need.

1/16 = .0625" = 1.5875mm
#51 = .067" = 1.7018mm

I have a jeweler a block from my office who has these sizes and drills them for me for free as a nice gesture. May save you some time and $$

Basically you just need to cut out the center portion of the bladder leaving yourself with an "Oring" to place back in the shock cap.

Inside the big hole on top of cap for mounting shock to tower. Like a bushing .
