When I broke mine I was very surprised. now let me throw this disclaimer out there, this is my first ever 4wd buggy. Going over our triple and threw the brakes on like I always have in my 2wd and uh oh, next thing I see from the driver stand is my car basically upside down in the air car hit and it didn't just crack, it shattered into many pieces. I have had similar wrecks before with other cars that aren't tanks and didn't have that outcome. Someone on here said that they heard the early shock tower mounts were brittle and have since been changed. Not that big of a deal I was able to find one, apparently the last one in the states, since then no one has had them in stock. Definitely one of the parts I want a couple of just in case, but then again, hopefully I never have to replace it.

Is your track rock hard? I have done the same thing as you, but we have wet clay, so I guess it is a softer landing. Also, if you get upside down, smash the throttle to bring is back around, lol.

not hard at all, similar to OCRC, maybe actually more a smooth clay look than OCRC. It definitely wasn't the cars fault. Like I said before, I don't care the car breaks, they all do, its the parts availability that's the issue to me.

i got my kit about 3 weeks ago, as a precaution i bought everything under the sun "just in case" so far the only thing i broke was a front cf shock tower, bent a rear drive shaft somehow and a few wings lol this is my first 4wd and my first kit build. only been driving about two months. i couldn't be more pleased with it. i haven't found a shortage of parts being that i live in california and amain ships in just a few days I'm sure that helps.

Last week at practice I had an 1/8 Buggy land on mine and thought forsure there would be something broke.... to my surprise nothing was wrong and it kept driving. I also still run the stock Shock ball caps too, and this past weekend was the 1st time its popped off in a long time, since I hit a concrete post a couple months back and even when I hit the post I thought the whole side was destroyed, but only popped a cap. I do have the B5 Caps and might change them over during the next car rebuild.

Now I've heard of a couple people breaking parts at another track in our area, but from the sounds of it, was due to it being cold and track area being cold.

In my last race, I started from the back of the straightaway. The guy sitting second on the grid had a speedo failure and didn't move when the race started.

I had a full straight to gain speed with a 6.5 motor (and we have a really long straight) and plowed right into the back of him at full speed. His rear was destroyed. I figured my front was gone. I paused, turned the wheels, hit the gas a little, and then realized my car was fine. Holy crap. Totally fine. I went on to finish the race.

This car is durable.

Hit a guy in the foot at full rip going over a long rolling double. Idiot was standing there fiddling with his car and never said anything to anyone on the drivers stand to watch the big jump. This was during practice. My car wasn't hurt, not sure about his foot.

a special oring that seals better, to better help keep air from getting into your shocks and causing rebound

Some people have issues with the AE ones leaking. The traxxas ones are good and very cheap.
