Default Ya know what...

I would really like to see Team Associated put out a 1/8 buggy. Anyone else agree?

Yes, I would definatly like to see that, i would also like a see a 4wd elec buggy made by them too. When the BJ4 came out, i thought i was made Associated already, i was just mistaken.

It might be a little too hard for AE to start pumping out new 1/8ths because of such a big competition like Kyosho SP2777, Mugen MBX5,Xray XB8 and so on.Thats just what i would think because these cars all have winning designs.

im sure that team associated would be able to produce a 1/8th buggy if they decided to. even if other companies have "winning designs" associated given the size of the company like 4th or 5th biggest in the industry would be able to produce a winner. Isnt Thunder tiger taking over team associated?

Thunder Tiger is, or already did I believe. But I dont think associated will make a electric 4wd buggy for a long time, if even at all. The market isn't big enough. It costs a lot of money to manufacture a car that will never sell as well as the 2wd electric vehicles they are already making. I dunno about a 1/8th scale buggy though. I think the TTR EB4 S3 by thunder tiger is top notch. So if you start seeing parts in more places, Id say check it out.

I'd like a toilet seat made out of solid gold, but it just isn't in the cards now is it....

Just kidding!! I'd really like to see Losi produce a nitro touring car! JRXS-nitro?

I believe Pavidis has been running a prototype 2wd and 4wd buggy for kyosho. No one knows much about the 2wd though...I read Kyosho ran off with it after every heat.

That would be good to have a few more competitive 2WD's on the scene.

Its all AE and Losi now.

I understand why AE hasnt produced an electric 4wd buggy. But why not just make a conversion for the TC4. I used to see those crazy TC3O things at a local track all the time. They made a conversion to convert it to a rally car why not a buggy. It shouldnt take that many resources to throw some T4 arms and CVDs in a box along with a body and slap AE 4wd buggy on the box.

Companies put out cars for the market of most interest...If the market was 100% racing, then Losi and AE wouldn't have produced their monster trucks, or their mini cars or RTR cars. But the fact of the matter is, the majority of the market is in the "play" side of the hobby where people like to run monster trucks and RTR stuff to beat around their neighborhood rather than the race track.

The 4wd drive scene has risen in popularity over the years, but still not to the amount that 2W or truck is...Realizing the expense and return available on creating a full blown race kit and it not being up to market standards...well, I'm sure the financial advisors of AE and LOSI have reviewed the numbers and are very aware of all the possibilities and numbers involved!

You all know this, but if just WE want AE to produce a 4WD kit of their own, then thats like...what...maybe (c'mon, don't hold me to the #'s...just EX!!)1000-ish cars...when AE can produce a monster truck for the basher, occational basher, and racer/MT enthusieast and sell like 10,000-ish cars. With today's economy, companies simply can't afford a product flop.

I would personally LOVE to see LOSI produce an on-road nitro car, but until today's economy takes a major turn for the good, I'm gonna have to be happy with what I've got!

just my 2 cents...

Mafia hit the nail on the head.It comes clear to me now how AE can't/haven't produced a 4WD buggy and Losi can't/haven't produced a nitro TC.

Would you settle for a toilet seat from carbon fiber?
