Quick question about tire gluing?

I've got a bunch of tires to glue and I want to make sure I do this PROPERLY! I know you have to wipe down the bead with alcohol, but what do you use to wipe it with? I figured those blue shop towels would be good but they leave a whole bunch of fibers behind? What do you guys use? Or should I just glue over the fibers?

Just wipe them down with an old t shirt or something like that with no lint.
Gluing over the little fibers from the blue towel wouldn't cause much trouble as long as they were small and dry.But still I would use the t shirt. Make sure you use the thin CA so you can work the drip of glue just by tilting the tire around. I also pull the tire away from the bead slightly and very briefly to let the glue work its way between the tire and rim while tilting the wheel around.
Don't forget the rubber bands to hold the tire secure to the rim while they dry.
I hope that all make sense.
Good luck

I use a micro fiber cloth for all my shop needs, I like the fact that they don't shed:D

Cool thanks for all the tips! One more thing.. My glue came with an applicator tip attachment that has a very fine long tube coming off of it.. The tube is about 4 inches long. Am I supposed to trim this short? Or is it meant to use long and then cut off the end each time it clogs up? Is this thing reusable?

Cut a small piece and use it and ditch it. You can get several uses from a tube.

I can get 3-4 uses out of a small piece. Just leave it in the glue bottle, and next time you go to use it, it will be there ;)

Mine looks like this:

So if I cut it once, thats it.

I have been using pro circuit tire glue( it is the thinnest I have found and very good) and the pro circuit tire cleaner for prepping. I also started using a glue curing agent. This makes for a fast and permanent bond.
