Marsh is running the new reedy 4600 packs, and I'm running orion carbon pro 6400. We were pulling around 1700-2100mah in the 7min quals

I can't make this one anyway so it's a moot point for me.

Hotels are listed on the flyer, which I think was linked on the first page of this thread.

Also they have a thread under the "racing" section... here's the details from the first page of it...

FWIW the golf course right next door isn't bad for those with multiple expensive hobbies.

Also not listed is University Park airport which is about an hour from the track.

I really don't want to start a 4s vs 6s debate, However, as time has gone by, I've learned you can build a light weight and efficient 4s set up within the current rules which can run 10 minute mains reliably regardless of the track size. 4s shorty packs are the future of 1/8th E-buggy, a properly set up 4s car should be using 4000mah or less within a 10 minute run. Logging around those heavy 4s 5000-6500mah standard brick packs are 100-300 grams of extra sprung weight (more heat and crappier handling cars).

Anyways, sorry for the thread derail. Let's get back on topic!

I'm happy this race is on the east coast the last 3 of 4 1/8 E races were in California. I think it's time for us east coast/midwest/southern guys to show the RC industry we can pull large talented crowds too!
You have a great point if you ONLY run 10minute mains, problem is many tracks run 12minute mains and mix nitro/electric (which I like better btw).. so if you are running mixed w/ nitro for 12 to 15 minutes a solution as you propose as the future is worthless... the 4s standard packs will work but when you push that 15min mark on 4s lipo you push the pack and amp draw to some pretty high levels and end up putting a lot of stress on the system. Over time something usually gives.. Running 6s is a much better solution be it smaller lighter packs for 10min races or a more standard 3200-3400 pack to keep with nitros You also should rethink what you call the future.. a 2700mAH 6s lipo would be lighter than the 4s shorty and provide a better voltage curve and keep the entire system under less stress.

Just saying

Less than two weeks to get your registration done. We are at 127 entries. Lets get them rolling in. I know there are more out there. In my regional series I have at least 77 e-buggies who have attended the first three races. Lets show the rest of the nation where the masses are heading with the future competition.
