Default Mugen MBX thread.

This should cover all MBX's from the original to the RR and XR works.
I have the Works and would like to know what kind of set-ups are working for the other guys using the same car?

The biggest tip I have is to dremel the edges of the pivot ball holes in the front hub carriers. This gives you more lock, and thus more steering and a smaller turning circle.

Got this from one of the UK team drivers.

Oh, and the other 'big thing' here in the UK is to not run the rear chassis brace, keep the front one loose by having larger holes in the ball cups, and to remove the chamfering of the chassis except for the holes needed to attach the side-skirts. All of this results in a car that you can bend slightly, which makes it more forgiving and easier to drive (everyone is obsessed with the Crono RS01 over here at the moment which has such a soft chassis you can get a 20 degree bend out of it with the car fully built!!!)

Inferno-That is one awesome ride, and I thought my ride was clean, hehehe. Are those progressive suspension caps in the front? Is there a noticeable difference? What other hop-ups do you have? Very nice, very nice indeed

Anyone try the new front hubs? What do they do?

I heard they make the Mugen more stable but I'm not sure.

I run the Progressives front and rear (have them turned in on the rear so you can't hurt em)they work great.

Ive been running my xr box stock and the car has been doing well against an all kyosho field (club racing) here in houston. I have an aluminum clutch set-up on one of my motors, I'll let you guys know how they work (maybe you guys know already, hehehe ).

Default Big bore Shocks?????

Are the big bore shocks worth the $, Is there a beter brand other than the mugen, I'm looking for something with stronger shafts
I've broken 2 rear shafts in 2 and a 1/2 tanks. They broke both times after over shooting a tripple jump.

Kol-I would advice you to get the MP7.5 Kanai edition II bigbore shocks, or the mugen brand (also bigbore).
