motor for b4.2
My son is getting a b4.2 and wants to know if he can use the vxl brushless motor and esc out of his slash 4 x 4? Would it be to much motor for that car? Thanks

yes, the motor from the traxxas is way to big. You want a 540 size motor for running in buggy. For something on the cheap, look into the hobby wing 17.5 juststock combo for racing. Of if you are bashing, though it will be a lot of power, a castle sidewinder v.3 combo.

I wouldn't recommend the VXL either. For racing, see what your track runs, whether it be stock, mod or both. For bashing, I'd still go with an 8.5t combo. Castle would be ok but I found it to be very wild and hard to control, and I havent had good luck with the castle esc's. 8.5 turns will still give you the highspeed for bashing.
