A bit overpriced, but it is a well though out kit, so they charge accordingly. You come off as a very young kid, maybe if you actually follow through with this, you will see how hard it is to get things together, and how much work of takes to get a live axle truck to handle anything close to a regular SCT.

Exclamation change of plans

recently i built a homemade trophy truck cage and never finished the project. i never had the parts to finish it. but i have the slash parts now and wanted to build a real scale trophy truck. the cage i built is the pics below and it was all welded. i want to end up with something like this http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/non-c...phy-truck.html this change was a last minute change for me and i hope you guys still follow this because i plan on finishing really soon. so there will be a lot of update pics at once

Just curious maybe I missed it. Why do you want the solid rear axle? Is that what makes it a Baja 1000?

i wanted a catchy name for the thread. but the solid rear axle doesnt make it a baja 1000 truck, i want to make one because i love the look of the solid axle rear end when it jumps. and how it looks going thru whoops and bumps

the class 1 trucks, i believe have more travel than the real short course trucks. i just ove the looks of it.

well i ordered the hpi mini trophy dual shock trailing arms for the rear. they measure 137mm in length from eye to eye. im going to use 3/16 inch steel rod for the cage and an aluminum plate for the chassis. going to use the slash front clip and the 2wd transmission.

I really like projects like this, and thinking a bit outside the box! To see someone bolting on a part that they have purchased all by themself isn't much of a project

Too bad. I was hoping to prevent this by trying to say something that would maybe keep you going here, and was looking forward to see the progress here! Ask the mods to remove the rude comments instead.
