Default B4.1 Worlds Car, Tekin RS Pro or Hobbywing Xerun 120A?

So have most of my components decided but still on the fence with the motor and ESC.

Any thoughts appreciated, trying to decide between a Tekin Gen 2 RS with their combo 8.5 motor, or an 8.5 motor with the Hobbywing.

With the 120a hobby wing you can run anything 2s up to a 4 pole 4x4 sc truck. Can't do that with the rs pro. But the Tekin has great customer service. Hobby wing also has a program box for around $20. I've had both and they are excellent.

after owning both, go with the tekin rs pro.

the hobbywing is good but if you need service good luck.
i'm still sitting on a hobbywing 150amp 1/8 system that lasted 1 hour.
their "customer sevice" couldn't even respond to emails in a normal way.
each email took 1 week for a reply and very vague replies at that.

i do have some hw's that are great, but i'm not sure i'd buy another after that experience.

hw's motors are also on the weak side.

It wasn't in the list but look at the Viper VTX10BE. The Proguage programing is super easy and included with the ESC. I run Viper VTX10 or 10Rs in all of my cars currently and have never had a single issue.

you don't need rs pro for 2wd buggy, tekin rs is good enough.
hobbywing is also a great reliable choice.
note that, hobbywing 120a v2.1 is about 20g heavier than tekin rs. not sure about tekin rs pro or hobbywing's new v3.

the hobbywing v2 120amp is not really a fair comparison with the brand new tekin gen2 rs pro, even though the HW could easily hold its own. The V3 esc closer to the tekin in cost and they are both the flagship models for each company.

The guys are right, the RS Pro is not required for a 2wd buggy. Our latest RS Gen2 is a perfect choice for your B4.

Thanks all, I was originally looking at the bundles on Hobbypartz but figure those are older models, went to the HW site and saw that they had the newest ones which were more $$$

Other parts = as follows:

Savox Servo
OrangeRx GR300 (gonna try it out for $11 bucks figure what the heck)
Spektrum DX3e (have this from my brushless micro T)
Spektrum capacitor

Still neeed motor/esc and then battery/charger....was lookin at either Gens Ace with a Thunder AC680 or some flavor venom with a hitec x1 locally
