Well.....everything went together smoothly with no issues at all.

Stock setup works good for natural dirt tracks with medium grip.

The track we ran at on Sunday is hard packed with a multitude of surfaces......for instance a long straight which goes into a long banked turn with concrete bricks as surface.

The XB9E worked much better with the supplied 6x1.2 pistons.
I would also get the shorter rear progressive springs to get the ride hight down some.
And get the M2C brace for the front tower

I have a good souvenir of my 808 build too, xray parts are really well built! The manual is nice too

First time since three years I might go for a new buggy. I like my converted JQ but would like to share more with other drivers which isn't easy considering it's such a rare car. Let's hope the XB9E community will be active

As promised here's a pic from of the underside of the chassis using the JConcepts Illuzion Finnisher Xray XB9 Body part #0244

As you can see there was just a big enough gap to add the velcro to keep dirt out.

And here's a few shots of our finished cars with very elaborate paint jobs done

That's what you get when painting in the wee hours of the night trying to get them done in time for some practice

A Kyosho 44t will bolt right on. Get some p6 orings and some XRAY 3.5x12x0.2 washers to make a leak free diff that will last forever.

oh cool, yeah with the AE 46t i just use the oring that comes with the spur and use everything else off the Xray diff and it doesn't leak either. thanks and if i need another spur i will use the Kyosho one and see how it goes.
