XRAY XB9E Official Thread - they did it :)

Has anyone noticed the inside of the front wheels hitting the fronts of the control arms at full lock? This is primarily at droop. At ride height (under its own weight) it has slightly better clearance...but not much.
I'm running 1mm wider hexes and AKA wheels. I reduced my steering throw to prevent this interference (it was cutting my arms), but our new track layout has some very tight areas and I'd like to reduce my turning radius as much as possible.
Thanks!
Tommy

Beta, RB and AKA wheels all rub slightly at full lock

We've also tried Pro-Line wheels but I can't remember if they hit anything......
So this is wheel specific.
I've just taken my Dremel and removed a tiny bit on the wheels that do rub.

here is mine with the finnisher

thought I would hate it looking at the pics but I quite like it in reality!
could someone mesure the longitudinal play of the center diff with the stock metal spur? I installed an AE plastic spur and need to know if the play is ok (I hope not to start a flaming cession for this question)

I found the j concepts illusion for Losi 8e fits pretty good and I found a way to mount the proline bulldog for the Losi 8e. Just had to take an old rear truggy body post and cut the base at an angle to mount on the buggy front body mount since the body post on the bulldog body comes thru it at an angle. Took 3 minutes to make the front body post and body fits great

It's an XRAY, top quality. It will drive as good as you drive it. If your any good the car will win and if u stink then the car won't break.

basically he's right
the xb9e is easy to drive, planted feeling, forgiving, comes with excellent shocks, best quality parts, good price, is nice looking, hudy steel,...
you can't go wrong

The Losi 8e bulldog body looks close to the stock XB9 nitro body, just had to do that front body post mod or you could lightly heat the body and bend at front body hole, the way the body fits the mount goes thru where the body is sloping up to windshield but it fits great after that just mount up before painting to get body lines and holes right
