For those of you in Europe with shops that sell the XB9E... Do they have any of the new XB9E-specific parts in stock, as well? Or only the whole kits?

For now I only see the kits

Xray is slow.. for the body, parts, everything.. The car will be great but if I was a brand that didn't want to sell a buggy I would do just like them. As much as I love the car I hate the way Xray sells the XB9E.. It deserved better.

Losi and Associated are just as bad. For most new Losi releases, you can't get spares for 2-3 months before all the parts are being used for kit production, and those small amount being used for spares are being bought up before you can get a hold of them.

Big brands care less in general.. Smaller brands know they need customer support to grow so they care a lot more about the satisfaction and feedbacks from average drivers. Tekno is the best example. Basically they built their success on communication. It takes time but it works. JQ did the same. Trouble is customers still give more credit to a "name" or a "brand" than the input from individuals constituting these brands. I don't like big names for this reason: they behave like if they didn't care. But customers are the ones that makes them gain money.. Anyway drivers are becoming more and more aware of brands reactivity and communication so the "big names" indifference won't last forever.

A good thing is the XB9 isn't a new car and most parts that could wear or brake on the XB9E are the same as the ones on the XB9

That's very encouraging! Thanks very much for the info! Those are the items I'm looking to buy.

That's the point:

People waiting for the XB9E-parts for doing a conversion might have to wait a bit until the parts are listed on the xray-website, but people driving the XB9E already don't care because all other parts are from the XB9. And I don't see a reason why I may need the XB9E-specific parts only 3 weeks after building the car

But basically the statement from Pulse_ is right: The presentation of all other cars recently from xray were mich better than now.

Greetings
Sven

the more they make people wait for specific XB9E parts the more the guys that wanted to convert a XB9 will do the move for a XB9E.. Xray know what they are doing

I might sound rude to the brand when you read my interventions but no body + no announcement + no date + no spares + no answer is a bit too much

With a Tekin T8 1900KV on 4S we run 16T on medium tracks and 17T on larger tracks (more then 30m straights).

Malin just ran her first ever 1/8th race and 40 minute final this weekend.

Qualified last in the B-main (#11), but went on to win the B-main by 1 lap and was the highest placed and fastest electric buggy of the day.

This is a series where electric runs with the nitro.

5 electric buggies out of 36 for this particular race.

1 Xray XB9E
1 AE RC8.2E
2 Mugen MBX6ECO
last one I don't remember......

Did 2 1/2 minutes warm up and 20 minutes race, battery swap (50 seconds total) and finished the last 20 minutes on battery pack #2.

Worked brilliantly.

No fan on the ESC, and it never went over 4 led's.
Outside temperature was around 28 degrees celsius.

We're VERY pleased with the new Xray so far

awesome, congratulations to you!

I wish you have some pics

That's the pinions I use on my JQ (16 on technical tracks and 17 on big ones)

I have to ask you how you mounted the servo saver without the inside barrel spinning on itself..

Thanks

I only have a couple of pics.

Was supposed to video the race but my camera's autofocus is f***ed up so need to get a new camera

For the servo saver I just pinched the inside barrel and servo saver with a wide needle nose plier and tightened it up......no problem at all

I may need a wider needle nose plier then because it still spins on itself when I do so

Funny because I have the same problem on my K10D, I was at Spa Francorchamps for the 24h and the autofocus made me crazy so I just turned it off trying to focus correctly on race cars doing 200mph..

I'm used to video tape our races so as soon as I go on the track with the XB9E I'll post some
