I am probably low and the price will be $550-600 or more.

Remember, the MP9 is 50%-100% of the cost of every other 8th scale on the market($900+ Nitro/$750+ Electric vs $450-500).
all this has crossed my mind, hence a price tag over $600 would not surprise me, but really, it'd be a tad outrageous for a 1/10th buggy to cost more than most 1/8th buggies.

When I started running Kyosho in about 2008(the original RB5 even), the cars were just about $20 more than the B4. How things change...

I wish Kyosho took a flyer from TLR and released videos that went over the cars in detail like they do. Then follow that up by answering questions on this forum. TLR has been setting a customer service standard other companies need to follow.

none the less 4wd buggy should be fun next year.

As you can see in the lower right hand side of this picture from Jared' blog, he is running a shorty in the ZX-6.

In the pics, the pieces are very shiny. Maybe alum(I doubt it), or at least a different plastic than the diff cases. They are quite thick at least.

It is worth noting that obviously the car will be configurable to run saddles or a shorty because it will not be legal for roar races unless it accepts either a stick or saddle pack of maximum dimensions by only re-arranging battery foam. At the worlds, this doesn't matter, and much like the RB6, you can see they're running a shorty here, so there is obviously some perceived advantage in weight distribution.

I think the theme here is motor + electronics =~ shorty battery weight, or at least closer in terms of little lead weights than motor on one side and electronics on the other with equal battery on both sides. Interesting.

Earlier you said December release... Was that a "best guess" or was that put out somewhere else?

This one is not the new car:

You can most quickly tell by the front shock tower direction, and the servo direction.

Being hearing reports that a lot of ZX6's are breaking down before even finishing their practice runs.

Yup I've heard this too.

Give Boots a FS2 SP, he did far better in Finland with the Durango. Shame, really wanting Boots to do well.
