You could try Vant. I just picked up a 7500 4s at Thebarnfloor.com. Seems to be pretty good so far.

Or whats the minimum people are running for 10min mains?
Hobbyking are really 165mm long, I have one. They don't fit directly but can fit on the battery box with a pad in the box to support the pack, not ideal but I'm stuck with this pack! Can be a practice pack only.

I ran 5600's in my AE RC8.2 for a long time and could do 10min no problem. 4s is a lot more efficient than 2s so you don't need as much mah. I've heard of people going as low as 5000 without issue in 10min mains.

Edit: thought was in the EB48 thread, but should come close to truggy as well.

Ya i noticed that today when i was waiting for the lower price screen to pop up. I almost bought it. I pre ordered the smc 6500 with a note to call me if there any way to make it happen quick. He's usually pretty good helping me with last minute stuff. I have 3 of the 4600 shorty 4s packs(can go 14+ in buggy), guess Ill find out during tomorrows testing if Ill be running it @ lcrc cash race on Saturday. The Sunday race is 8 min main so I should make that at least with it. The only matching 2s packs I have are 5000 2s nano techs so I dont think thatll be much better than what I have
-SPCracing.com I have heard good things about and appear to have same exact packs as SMC but out of stock as well. Just a heads up for anybody in future looking for good cheap pack

Danny from smc wrote me back and has a few of the 6500's that for whatever reason weren't balanced the same when he received them so he set them aside. He is going to test them and find me a good one so I can make the race Saturday. If I have any problems in future with balancing he will replace it. Talk about going above and beyond for me!!! Can't express how great of service I have received from him and this isn't the 1st time. He also said the new shipment of batteries will be in Monday for any of you looking for them. But thanks for the suggestions

Yea can't say enough good things about SMC. If what you want is listed as backorder / pre-order don't let that scare you away, they usually get filled pretty quick. If you need one urgently hit up their email and can get a better ETA.

I'm running stock setup other than 10/15/5 diffs. Overall the truck handles awesome, but I would like more exit steering.

I also get a bit of front left or front right ballooning, but not terrible.

What do you guys suggest for setup changes to tune in some more exit steering?

Since I haven't driven truggy all that much, should I embrace the truggy style and throw the rear into the turn more aggressively instead of trying to make it handle like my buggy?

Otherwise I was thinking of first going to 20k in the center, or 15 in the front? I maybe try a stiffer rear spring or more anti squat?

a general question on 2 vs 1 battery setups:

If I were to get two 2s batteries of 4000mah vs one 4s 4000mah battery, would it have the same run time? Or does the mah add up which would mean 8000mah for the two battery setup? Also does the C rating add up (30c + 30c = 60c) for two packs?

Thicker oil in Front diff
More caster
Lean front shocks down on tower
Thicker rear swaybar
Stand up rear shocks on tower

No it would still be a 4000mah battery. I would suggest running a single pack though its less wiring and less of a chance for something to short out or plug something in wrong. I think for truggies 5s with a 1550kv is the way to go. That's what I ran last week and it was incredibly smooth and ran cool and only used 3200mah in the 10min mains. I was using a 5000mah 5s but could easily go with a 5s 4000mah.

mah doubles up when u connect two batteries in parallel, voltage doubles up when u connect two packs in series.

C rating remains the same.

6s with a 1350kv motor would be ideal for efficiency
