That picture the servo is not connected, and the wheels are turned right. I didn't direct compare, but it didn't seem wider.

When I mentioned steering plate, I meant a little more forward, up on the ridged portion, but what you showed in your picture would be fine too. I don't run the HW ESCs myself, just see a lot of them.

As for the ackerman bar, it is a little wider, and a little swept backwards as compared to the old one. This gives a smoother ackerman angle through the turn as the bar rocks from side to side to allow for both smoother cornering and less scrubbing, resulting in more corner speed and an easier drive at the same time.

thanks. a few follow ups..

I'm not sure if the XR8 SCT has a shorter power switch wire than the XR8 PLUS but it won't reach the RX box and doesn't look like it could reach behind the battery under the driveshaft. I'll check. If so what do you use to keep the wire down on the chassis? the same double sided tape? just push the wire down on the tape? I use the 3m clear.

As far as the steering front brace, like this (attached pic)? Will this be ok?

As far as a "CF plate", does anybody have a pic? don't have any extra CF laying around.

If you're not opposed to soldering, you can extend the wires to reach the RX box. And use some heatshrink/sleeve to make it look clean

I started with 10-10-7, and went to 10-12-7. I run on a loose, bumpy, rutted track.

I've been as low as 10-10-5, but thought it was too low on a loose and dusty track. I ran 10-10-7 most of the time and will be defaulting to 10-12-7 even on loose and dusty for the future.

I am going to try 8/8/5 see how that works
If that don't work I going to try 8/10/5

Anyone using a Hitec 9370 or 9380 for your steering servo? If so, how do you like it? Thanks for the opinions.

So has anyone tried the m2c chassis for the et48.3 I am hearing alot of people say they dont perform like the stock tekno chassis, they tend to push. Anyone else have any opinions about this.

Just so you both don't think people aren't seeing your questions. I've never ran the hitec's or the M2C chassis.

I've had both, I prefer the 9370, the 9380 felt a bit slow. Note, I didn't run the 9370 in the ET, it was in a TT MT4 & an EB48.3

Just ordered the new ackerman steering link and a set of universals for my ET48. I went with the universals mainly to reduce maintenance compared to the cvd's and figure I can adj my setup accordingly. The ackerman has proven successful on my SCT410.3 & EB48.4. and I'm hoping it will also translate to smooth predictable steering on the truggy as well.

Anyone try either of these options and care to comment on their findings?

Has anyone heard of running a xray rear chassis brace on their ET? I broke mine and the hobbyshop was out of them and said a lot off people run this one because the tekno ones break. I have looked at it every way possible and searched everywhere I can think of I don't see this working but figured I would ask here just incase. I already ordered a tekno replacement just wanted to see if I just wasted money on the xray part.

I like the new steering setup. It didn't seem to add, or take away steering, but just made it more predictable.
