Depends... To me it seems like buggy tires wear more, to the point they can't be used. Truggy tires have a bigger problem with ballooning and ripping in my opinion. Personally, I think I'm destroying more truggy tires than I am wearing buggy tires, plus they're obviously move expensive.

My tires dont balloon at all, prollay because I'm geared right and run the AKA Evos.

Most Etrucks are overgeared/overpowered.

But that's half the fun with these beasts. They can really lay the power down!

At my local track every time I throw my etruggy out on the track for some practice laps after a race day I get all kinds of comments on how cool it is and how fun it looks. But I cant seem to get anyone to jump on board and actually race them.

Im hoping having some non conversion options like this tekno truck will get the etruggy fire burning around here.

I hope so too. Unfortunately, we're not making the ET48 because we think it will sell thousands of kits and make us into the next Traxxas. We are making it because we really love the class and think if more people were exposed to it, it might get more popular.

Can you send me a proto?;)

A) Whaddya mean "unfortunately"?!

B) You guys are so freaking cool. Will you please start making 1:1 cars?

Go Tekno!

UK.hardcore 06-28-2013 04:41 AM

IMO: "unfortunately" because as much as he would like to sell thousands of them he knows it won't likely happen.

He made it for guys like me, who really want this beast and will get it no mather what.

E-truggy, my idea is alot of people are sortoff scared to own these trucks, when i say how awesome they are the normal 1/10 E crowd is like "it's too big" or "it's too expensive".

In a way i think they really want one, but they never go for it.

BenV.2 06-28-2013 04:53 AM

I want one.

My track is trying to get the class going. The track director as well as the track owner has an eTruggy and I just picked one up too. Actually I bought a used D8T and converted it to Tekno. We had 7 posted to race last weekend but only 5 or 6 showed up that day. We were battling rain delays so it was decided not to run an eTruggy class specifically this time. But we will keep trying to run it. I at least was able to practice with it last weekend before the race and it was an absolute BLAST! Power to weight ratio was much easier to manage than my eBuggy and I was more consistent.

Can't wait to run it more!

I would also LOVE to see a promo video of the ET48. That stuff really gets me hyped!

On a side and has been mentioned before. many people don't run EP truggy because they spend 500 to 700 on a kit and then have to turn around and spen another 100 or so on a conversion. With tekno, serpent and durango making EP specific kits, this is gonna change the class for sure.

What brand of body is that?

Outtacontrol58 06-30-2013 05:57 PM

That looks like the Proline bulldog. Any videos of this beast running? Also did it get ran at AMS4.0?

Gene158 06-30-2013 06:39 PM

I wish e truggy was more popular around here. It would give me a reason to get this truggy.
