Hpi!! The local track sells a ton of the arrma trucke, the graphite and the vortex to be exacte, and they have hardly no probs out of them!!! But they are not to race ready if u kno what I mean, the hpi blitz is a great basher(I bash mine like crazy) and also makes a great out the box performance if u ever wanna hit the track sometime

I know it's hard to do (waiting) but if your going to pay double by doing payments just save that money and get a quality ride you want. From personal experience if you buy cheap or not what you want you will never be satisfied and will end up spending double the amount in upgrades or the kit you originally wanted.

I feel most brands right now are pretty good for what they are design for. Traxxas and HPI is more basher(the Blitz ESE is for serious racers) while Dingo AE and TLR are more geared at racing. Arrma is good but a pain to work on, Traxxas is another good brand(others opinions aside) but they are dated designs but the largest aftermarket support. Duratrax is probably the cheapest but it was design to be strictly a beginners vehciles but I believe one o the Evaders are brushless ready and has alot of know issues fixed (speculation). Used is a great option to get what exactly you want cheap(unless you have a vintage bug like me then it cost you lol). IMO I have pros and cons for every brand and mostly this hobby isn't about brand loyalty but more so fun(alot forget this part).

Save up some more. Starting with the wrong equipment will cost you waaaaay more in 2 years time of racing.

Get an Sc10 for 2wd SCT racing. Look into the Xfactory upgrade kit.
Get a Tekno for 4x4 SCT racing.

You'll need about $1000 to get racing.

Or buy a used slash xl-5 with and race in the slash spec class. This will cost less then $200.

Pssh, basically all of my equipment has been used and from this very forum. All quality stuff too. Choose good sellers, fully read descriptions, and you'll be a happy camper paying 1/2 as much for your stuff with the exact same amount of performance.
