Default What's the best electric 4wd SCT

Hi guys,

I'm racing(club race only) 1/8 nitro buggy now, and wanna add a SCT electric for bashing or either racing, need some advice here from racers of SCTs. What's the best in terms of maintenance, durability, and tunnability?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Caster rapture by krio it's 1/8 based and you already have a 1/8 buggy so it will be an easy truck to drive and work on

Thanks a lot for the heads up, but i think most of the SCTs are 1/10 like the Losi and Traxxas?

Except caster has very limited parts supply. The Losi Scte and Tekno are both good choices with alot of support.

The line between 1/10th and 1/8th is being obliterated, the real difference as it stands today is simply this, 1/10th is 2S , 1/8th is 4S. Take the same vehicle and change batteries and run two scales....
The whole situation irritates the heck outta me.
As for the "best" it depends on your priorities. Make a list and chart it out. Just my 2cents the "best" when all things are considered is probably the Losi SCTE but there are SO MANY great vehicles out there...

I was also concerned about Casters part support when I got my s10b. Now they may not have a presence in the hobby shops but through them direct I have ordered parts on Monday and always got them in 3 to 4 days. They did have issues a while back but they are totally on their game now. Goto their threads and you will see they are very involved.

Yes is hard to look at the small companies but some of them do very well with supporting.

Really there all good the only main thing thats diffrent is the quality of the parts and price really.

For instance the SCTE the parts do wear and get sloppy fast however a certain amount of slop is good handling wise. The Pros good part support , handles like a 1/8 scale buggy, fast.

Tekno and the scte 2.0 are the best out right now. Losi will have better local parts support if you need something in a pinch. If that does not matter to you just pick the one u like the best.

I said 1/8 based whicheqns it's based off of 1/8 type layout and parts but is 1/10 scale and the support is fine so ok'd why someone said there isn't support
