Shorty Packs

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that has shorty packs up to 5500 or 6000 yet? highest I've seen is only 4800

Cain 04-24-2013 03:44 PM

who has 4800?

Racermac73 04-24-2013 03:56 PM

Meant 4600 not 4800 sorry... promatch has 4600 80c

lol no prob. Excellent pack by the way. Hopefully they make a version with the 5mm bullets on the 7200mah.

Have not seen one
I run 12mins races with my 8.5T and 17.5T Short Course trucks with SMC 4200 shorty pack, no drop off in lap times

I'm in need of more time... 2 packs in serpent 811e buggy with 10 minute mains

I take it shorties are the hot ticket in the vehicle which is why you are not going with standard length packs?

Racermac73 04-24-2013 04:17 PM

I've got standard packs, not sure if shortys are the answer either cane... but being able to move weight and knocking about 6 to 7 ounces off car should be two good things

I personally use a 3000mah shorty... Never even use a third of that in a heat... You looking to run long heats/mains? IMHO the higher capacity is not needed and the extra weight isn't needed...

U use 3000 packs in 1/8 ebuggy ?

honestly I personally would be comfortable running 4600mah. Usually with 5000mah packs I would get on the low end about 13 minutes of runtime. You may see benefit also running a mild motor like the Tekin 1900Kv in comparison to there 2050 and pick up some runtime there .

nvrmnd, I didn't see where ebuggy was the intended question...

Would have been vital infor in the original question I guess...

That's a good idea cain, unfortunately I'm greedy and want to stay with the tekin 2050 lol.... I'm assuming the promatch 4600 packs are the biggest you know of then

lol know the feeling. from what I have read, Kv wise its like a 2120kv or so.

Promatch's 4600mah packs are the biggest I have heard of in shorty size.
