have a close look because There's V3FM and V3MM mixed in there. look for the older dates.
what I like to do is find a set up that uses the same tires that work at my local track and go from there.

Ive had a V2 in a box for a couple years now and building it up.
Im sort of confused on one spot, so i was hoping someone could help out. I have not built a ball diff since the 1st original associated stealth tranny came out.
Its concerning the ball diff.
From the picture below, i have put some arrows and a circle where im confused.
It came with 3 spacers (circled), and it says prepared with 3 pcs.
The exploded picture of the diff shows just one of the spacers.
Am i to build it with 3 spacers? it doesn't seem possible that they will all fit in there and it will definitely be less space in there than the opposite side for the drive shaft.
Does anyone remember if they used all 3 of those spacers that came in the kit.
How tight should i get that diff with the screw?
thanks in advance guys.

You need to update that diff spring asap

As far as adjusting a ball diff correctly I would look at a AE manual and do it just like that

thanks for the reply.
if i update that diff spring, will i be able to use all 3 spacers?
also, since im going to order that spring and have to pay shipping, can you suggest any other parts i should order and have a few on hand of?
should i get that red aluminium diff holder nut? any other parts you can think of i should get, or upgrades?

3 spacers?
I think you mean washers.
If so, only one goes on the Diff Nut. The other 2 go on the other side to hold the thrust balls with your Black grease.
As for how tight a diff needs to be, it all depends on track surface and conditions, but you want to make sure it doesn't bark! If it barks, it's too loose. You want to tighten it to just where it doesn't bark, and then give another 1/8 to 1/4 turn and it should be set pretty well. From there you want to adjust your slipper properly, which again depends on track type and conditions. But general rule of thumb is to tighten it enough so it's difficult to spin the spur while holding the rear wheels and then set the car on a table while holding the rear wheels and squeeze the throttle. You want the front of the car to lift about 4-5" before you place on the track to see how it reacts. If it's too tight loosen the slipper a touch, do the opposite if too loose.
If the slipper feels right but you're having trouble turning with the car pushing through corners, even coasting off-throttle you'll want to tighten your diff just a hair at a time. This is the same for every car running a Ball Diff and slipper.
