After reading this thread I got inspired and converted my xxx-4G+ into a XXX-4T+. I took off all the suspension and links. I put a MF1 rear end on the rear end and a AD1 rear arm on the front with the xxx-4 rear sock on the front. Stock buggy rear axle in the stock front hubs (now just need longer cvd's andI'm set). Put new camber and toe links on it also. I'm running bow-ties in the front and step pins in the rear. I will work on set-up for it on Memorial day weekend. Also I need to get a body that I can mod to fit low on the chassis. The AD2 body is real close,so I might use it.

Well maybe we start some interest in a new/old class. I love doing something different.

for front arms i used xxx-nt front arms...chopped the section for the front c hubs...then i took xxx-t front arms, put one on top of the other and took a sharpie to mark the shock holes should be...i used xxx-nt cvd's all around...i also cut the front hinge pin blocks in half and moved them to the inner hole on the chassis and then used a xxx-s front hing pin block and drilled new holes for the hinge pins...this will bring the cvds further into the diff halves...here are some pics

Thanks. I just need a little more work and then off to test. What pinion gear did you use?

What shock oil?

How does it run compared to the buggy?

I did this years ago with my original XX4. Handled awesome. I just used HPI wide offset truck wheels. The thing is that there is so much rotating mass, so the car is very sensitive to throttle and steering in the air. Good luck with yours and keep us updated on how it drives! Videos!

Talking Will I'm glad to see i've started something

I'm thinking of useing a flat graphite piece and TC4 gear boxs And makeing it shaft drive. Like the bj buggy. What do you guys think? Maybe BJ concepts will make 4wd truck? We live and dream. If you built it they will come.
