TLR 8IGHT E 3.0 THREAD
#1816
Must be a small indoor track? We're not even allowed to run 1/8th at our indoor track with any battery. To many have been injured marshaling. Mainly speaking of a fella that got 5 staples in his head due to an 1/8th scale. We are trying to get an SC conversion 1/8th started though?
At any rate add me to the E, 3.0 club. Just picked it up today. Any tips?

Congrats on the e-3.0 purchase! Ive had mine built for a week or so now and I'm loving it. Went together great, no kissing parts and fitment was top notch. Only thing I would suggest is the losi 45t metal spur, and I'd also get the DE racing rear skid plate and front bumper.

The skid plates are nice. The rear of the chassis on these things gets smacked around a good bit on big jumps so it will only protect it that much more! Cool thing is DE gives you three of them in each package. I'm sure we will meet sometime this summer. I live in Northwest Arkansas and plan to make it up to fastlane for some outdoor racing

Well I ordered the DE plates and front bumper and rear mud guards. Pretty much the same stuff I had on the 2.0.
Last season I was all over the chart on ESC's motors and batteries. And servos.
This season Tekin RX8 Gen2 and 1900 combo Futaba S9352HV Protec 6700 100C and I ordered some AKA hard tires to start out with for club nights. 45T steel spur aluminum TLR244021 servo saver top.
I haven't kept up with the thread. What pistons are popular? I was thinking these later on.

I would personally stay away from the aluminum chassis braces as I think it makes the buggy to stiff and yes the aluminum top top is the same.

For pistons, we have been running the TLR 5-hole tapered in Tyler's nitro and electric cars. Run with taper up, 1.4's in front, 1.5's in back with 32.5 oil all around. Ran them inside on med bite tracks and outdoor low bite and cars work really good.

Steel spur gear is good to have. Although, we have had same plastic gear on both of his 8E 3.0's. Servo saver top is a must too.
