Question about setup on the 3.0e. On a large hard packed covered track (Mike's in Houston) what would be the best setup to run? Stock or the Drake indoor setup on the website? Been a while since I have run 1/8th scale so I'm looking for a somewhat neutral setup to start with. Any other setup tips? Thanks.

I think you will like the 3.0. Tried mine for the first time last Friday at MM and it was nice.

Only thing I bought outside the box were the springs. Thats it. Car is dialed out of the box.

Are you guys upgrading to the aluminum upper steering plate or is there a downside to running it over the plastic one?

We don't run it. Seen some guys running it. Just extra weight to me and I don't feel car needs anymore weight.

Its a little more weight on the front end which is a tuning option. Some have said it makes the steering feel a little more precise on high bite surfaces because of the reduced flex.

Some thing is wrong inside there it should turn doing it that way too. We did have a broken diff cup on the front last spring and it was acting that way. Make sure the metal insert on the cup side isn't coming loose from the plastic.
