Its such a let-down....I want to see companies like Tamiya use their On road R&D abilities and effort and put it into designing an off-road car. I'm tired of Tamiya putting out "play" kits for off-road.

Sorry, just had to relieve my frusteration with Tamiya.

Grasshopper was my first Electric R/C model.

But the Rough Rider and SS would be worth waiting....

Ouch.
bad timing Jimmy !!

Still, a few more cheap sets will make you feel better.

I will be picking one of these up to go with my Hornet, but really I am not in favour of these re-releases. I love the oldies, but I mostly love the challenge of hunting them down, restoring, repairing and displaying them. If I wanted something new from the shop then I would buy something current. This trend does not really appeal to me.

Yea i agree i think on one hand its cool but on the other it was alot more pleasing to chase that needed part to finish a project.

I am a little bit lucky i only like the older 4WD race buggy's so i have not really been hit by the rereleases "YET" LOL.

Wouldn't mind seeing a tamiya "retro" class run at the track. One of these would be fun to do that with and now you can get parts.

I would love however to see Tamiya get serious with offroad and release a real 4wd buggy.
