I raced at a few of these events last year when I had a Slash. They are very well run and bring new people into RC racing, which quite a few I've talked too didn't know it existed!

apparently they dont realize that if they allowed all short course trucks to participate they would have a much greater amount of entries.

But they are trying to sell Slashes, not get entries for a race.

+1. It's too bad for guys like us- I know a bunch of guys who wouldmake the trip to Crandon for some RC racing and watching the TORC trucks, but I understand their reasoning. Fortunately Crandon has monthly RC races that are open to all brands and the track is a blast. Run by some great peeps too!

I watched on Torc race on Speed and it was presented more like a reality show than a race event. No thanks. I'll stick to Lucas Oil.

+1 they added too much drama and just overdid the whole atmosphere of the show. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the races are "fixed". I'd put it in the same category as amish mafia, watch it for the drama, not the realism.

Sometimes drama makes excitement?

I can tell you for a fact they are not fixed, the series is run by USAC, they have no stake in who wins the races.....The Tv coverage is aimed at bringing new fans to the series by showing what goes on behind the scenes. I like more race coverage too but I can understand their reasoning.

It would be a lot more fun if they could have a big race at one of the full size Crandon races. I get their reasoning why they dont let other brands race those weekends but most of the perspective buyers who are watching the racing cant tell the difference between manufacturers on the track. If Traxxas is the only ones sell and promoting at the races I see no harm.

It gets the reality TV people more into it. I dont mind some of the background stories but I agree. I want to see a race from begining to end. Lucas's cameras suck. They are all shot from so far away you loose perspective of how gnarly the tracks are.

Definetily not fixed! I grew up in Short Course racing. I have been involved in quite a few different areas of it. I havent missed a Crandon Race in 28 years and I am 30 now. I have seen a lot of drama that never makes it to camera. There are a lot of big attitudes in off road. With all the bumping and banging, along with some rules issues there is going to be some drama!
