Battery suggestions for SCTE

Battery suggestions for SCTE
Getting ready to jump into SC trucks for outdoor season and was wanting suggestions on batteries. Will be running a Losi SCTE with 4600kv motor and looking to run 2s Lipo. I know these are battery hogs but not sure what an ideal number would be on these. Any help would be great

The Orion 90C 6500 Carbon packs are awesome for this truck. Plenty of runtime to make any main length with safety for practice. The packs are reasonably low weight for the capacity. They're pricy but warranty through Orion has been good to me as well as Customer Support. No complaints here.
Some other options:
Reedy has a new(ish) Lipo out. It's a 65C 7000mah pack and fits in the SCTE perfectly. This is a lot of pack regardless. Weight on it was significantly higher than the Orion pack.
Turnigy Nano-Tech 6600 pack
I owned one of these. For the price, it seemed okay. I had it dump on me in a qualifier so I've been hesitant on use since that. For the price, it has been "OK."

I ran with NO success ; pro match 6200/50c , fantom 6500/65c, fantom 6900/100c, all puffed *melted connectors * got hot or all the above ...
Packs that worked flawless ; thunder power 6300/G6 soft pack , 2 pro match 5000/30c in parralel . 2 thunderpower 4300/25c in parallel , (team EA motorsports 6500+/70c only ran it a few times before I sold truck)

Turnigy nano-tech 6600mah 2S2P 65~130C Hardcase Lipo Pack. $44, for that price, cant go wrong. i bought one, and 2 of my friends bought one. they will make any ESC/motor perform at its max potential. the difference between our TT01s running this pack and a NiMH is literally like 5mph difference. its truly astonishing

My vote is for the ip intellect 7200 80c packs, they are awesome.. have the newer 5mm pass through plug design. I've had a lot of different packs over the 4 years these easily are the best. I also must say the 6800 70c packs were outstanding as well, 4mm normal tube style connectors.

Do not run the webbed 4mm connectors run deans or the quartered 4mm connectors or 5mm (if your battery has that. Over time webbed makes poor contact poor contact = unwanted heat.

When you say "webbed" are you talking about the "bird cage" type 4mm connectors? The kind that actually spring to make contact and stay in the female connector?
