I run the ORCA ESC in my Tamiya TRF201 XM and love it! Very smooth and easy to use programmer. I just wish is was all Aluminum.

I do not have a setup to give you for off road at the moment. I am awaiting a reply from the factory for a good starting point.

Are you having an issue with over heating or anything? An all alumn speedo is usually very heavy. The VXX has a larger heat sink and is capable of running large amounts of timing boost and turbo in TC without over heating so I would think it should be fine for all off road classes as well without over heating.

Thanks

I have been using Orca now for half a year and have been really happy. It has worked well. The thing that makes it more impressive is that I use it in my Desc 4wd SC truck combined with a Orcs 6,5t tx Motor! I have tried alot of different combos including the 4 pole HW which seems to be the most popular and changed that out for this ORCA combo and like the ORCA more. Compared to my older ESC:s (HW, Orion, LRP) this feel easier to adjust and very smooth. Also the ESC temperatures are very low, like 40-50 degrees celsius. The motor runs a little hot(which is expected running a 2 pole 540 size motor in 4wd SC) but with the use of motorfan there is no problem! In my dex410 buggy I dont have any problems with temperatures using a Orca 6.5t TX

One thing I have discovered in the orca tx motor( same applies for atleast the older blue HW motors too) is that if you run it too hot a solder on the frontside will melt. If that happens, simply open the screws holding the front cover and solder it back and the motor will work like new again.

He just likes BLING! I've driven his Tamiya and indeed the ORCA ESC is very nice. Tried the OCRA 9.5 this weekend. I found it a bit abrupt on the bottom end for off-road on a slicker track. Are there additional rotors available for the ORCA motors? A 12.1, 12.2 or 12.3? I admit I haven't even looked. Thanks.
