Newbie Nitro question
I'm new to Nitro, but I really love 4wd and the buggy style, so I went with Ofna, it looked like a good firm, and the mags all seem to like them, so I hope I made a good choice.
Once I figured out how to set the engine to run right (I was running it way too rich, would stall every 5 seconds or so) it's been very fast, and so far, tough.
I noticed on the ultra MBX pro, it has electric on-board starting. Looks like that beats the heck out of pull start.
Can my Ofna engine be upgraded to support that, or do I need a new engine (or worse, a new buggy)?
Pros and cons (if any) of electric on-board starting?
Thanks gang.

Yes you can upgrage to a better starter system.
Pull starts should be banned from the hobby.
Your options:
-Roto start(hpi, hotbodie and ofna make this)
It use the oneway bearing from your pull start. You simply remove the pull start install the 2 gear box to the end of the motor and start it with there drill starter(included)
-STARTER BOX:
by far the most reliable way to start an engine.
-ofna and others make boxes for your buggy. In most cases u can simply stop using your pull start and start with the box.
-if you want to reduce weight and seal your engine you can remove the pull start cut the nub off the crank and get a non-pull start back plate. This will give your engine a perfect seal.
PS you dont need ezstart system like traxxas uses. IT mounts electronics and a motor to the chassis and its heavy. The options above are the best
