Questions?? Which 1/8 Buggy Motor?

Trying to decide on a 1/8 motor for my buggy, something around the 1900 - 2100kv. Has anyone heard any feedback on the Reedy Sonic Comp Motors?

Many 8th scale buggy users use the Tekin 1900KV. It seems to have the most flexibility when gearing, and has the right amount of power/torque.

Only motor I have ran is a Neu 1512 2.5D which was a few years ago now as 1/8 buggy was only just catching on. Will more than likely be running the Viper VTX8 ESC, since there are not many RX8's around at the moment. Forgot to mention that I want a sensored motor. I didn't know that Reedy made a 1/8 motor till today, just surprised I haven't heard much about it.

+1 on the Tekin 1900kv. This, and the 1700kv are both awesome on 4S.

Don't be afraid of the hobbywing xerun 1/8 combo's, those motors are insaine.. I'd be running them if I were at 4s.

PS take the hw 150a esc of the rx8 any day and every day of the week.. doesn't matter which motor you go with. I hear good things on the new viper system, but the hw 150 has been 100x more reliable and is smoother imo than the rx8.. I have over a year in both my truggy and buggy and they are still smiling.

Only 1/8 esc I have ran was the MMM V1 which was on 5S 2050kv motor. Had no issues with it. I wouldn't mind giving the VTX8 a go, been reading some good reviews on it.

The only thing annoying with the hw is the large footprint. Otherwise, cheap, powerful and reliable. That being said, I'm going to a vtx8 next
I went from a thunder power 1900 to a tekin as I couldn't get parts.

Don't write off the turnigy 1900Kv sensored motor. I've been running one with a hobbywing 150 amp esc in an eb48 and so far i'm really impressed. Geared at 18t pinion it's been an absolute beast, power anywhere you'd want it, and it comes on real smooth as well. Temps at the end of a 10 min run were around 140-150. For $55 you can't go wrong. Less than half the price of the tekin, and you've got a motor that will run right with it.
