RC18T/MT ESC Limits?
 

Hi!

I have a friend who has just bought a RC18MT, and along with that a RoadTech modified 20T motor. Will that motor work with stock ESC? The ESC can do 50 amps momentary load, is that enough?

It should work OK. I think that motor is 280 size, the ESC can handle up to 400 size motors without problems.

I think the packaging (spelling...) said someting about 420, but I'm not sure.. I measured it and its external measures are exactly the same as the original one..

Is it the same ESC as the original 18T one? I haven't looked closely at mine.

I suppose so, but I'm not 100% sure.. Although, the manual is for both the cars.
