Agama A8T E-Truggy

Well, there are some weak points, specially the shocks seem to be a problem that needs to be fixed with new shock caps and bladders.
the ackermann plate is too fragile for a truggy, maybe ok in buggy i dont know. the whole steering assembly seems to develop slop at an alarming rate. Im considering just replacing it with a losi parts as it should fix the problem.
oh and i have a problem with the rear center axle that is way too soft for its own good. does anyone know if some other brand has a direct fit replacement i can use?
Other than that you just need to be careful not to have too much droop or it might break your shock towers or shock ends.
Im currently asking myself if i would buy this truggy again if i knew what i know now. I honestly cant say, because it drives really great, but i left the losi to get a more durable car. I guess only time will tell.

I currently run the Agama ebug & really like it. If my local indoor track continues to put in 1/8 tracks in a 1/10 area I will end up getting a truggy. After running the buggy There are 3 things I would change off the bat.
1. steering bellcranks/ackerman/servo saver will be converted to Losi 3.0, a direct dropin. The links are fine. ($30 for the ackerman & bell cranks, you need both)
2. Shock bladders. Either the cap/bladder from Agama or just the bladders from an ofna hyper 9 with the stock bladders cut out as an o-ring (I've been running the ofna bladders for over a year) ($50 for Agama parts, $5 iirc for the ofna)
3. spur gear from a Losi. The stock works just fine but is metal & therefore VERY noisy. ($10)
I have a personal preference for CSI pistons ($20 per set) & will probably get more of those. In the buggy I would also say the 16* caster blocks ($70 in aluminum, no plastic option available) & underdrive rear are a must, but I don't know if they are needed in the truggy or not.
On a side note...
I WILL NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, EVER INSTALL THE RCMONSTER CONVERSION IN AN AGAMA! The motor mount is not bad, but it feels weak, is difficult to adjust, & just isn't up to modern standards. The battery tray, on the other hand is HORRIBLE! It has 0 durability, the 3 screws that hold it in strip VERY easily, it's to big to be useful with out an insert (no insert is provided), I have yet to find a brand of 2 sided tape that holds to it well.

I ran my nitro setup for a long time with no issues. 10/10/7, 32/32 losi 8x1.3 pistons, blue rear, black front springs... That should get you started. The rest is kind of surface dependent/driving style. But you can look to any nitro setups as a good starting point. Maybe go 40/40 oil with blue(r)/blue(f) springs. If you need more rotation, 7/10/7 in diffs is what I run now.... The stock springs will work well with the 40/40 oil.
Also, feel free to post in the nitro A8T forum. It's a little more active and we will get all your questions answered for you just the same.
My truck is a shelf queen these days(just too many cars), but was a ton of fun...
