My kid has the vts already and the bb spring conversion, which is fine. The issues i have with this truck have nothing to do with needing BB shocks. But "IF" they ever get the towers, new arms and new body mounts in, I will pick those up. Already running the hexes. Since my truck will sell for like $100 on here, lol. I can afford the BB shocks and still save.

I haven't raced AE since the T3 was popular almost 15 years ago and I have been waiting for this to come since I got into SC with my Blitz. If everything turns out well, I will be a proud owner of a SC10.2 next month!!!

they wont.. cav runs the standard setup. and maifield was running gulwing on his t4.2 but standard on his sc10. if you look on the ae fb, ae said its just tuning option.

I will get the carbon rear hub risers and shorter ball studs for a little more clearance between the shock spring and camber link.
I doubt Associated will discontinue any of the last towers or arms for a long time. They typically keep older parts available for quite some time so I wouldn't worry about that.
they are far from being fragile. imo they are 2x as durable! defiantly amazed by how much of a beating these can take.

So the new gull wing front a-arms, what are they supposed to achieve over the normal flat a-arms and what would be the downfall of using the old flat system with the new truck?

Keeps the truck from diving onto the front corner . It drives forward instead of & leans for a 50/50 roll.

Flat arms roll more ...

Gull wing improve the trucks handling & corrects a basic handling flaw...
They perform really good on med to less traction...

Use the flat arms when using the sway bar's on med high traction conditions .

What ever Luke or Alex is using at BRCR ....

They just got their Gull wings and I'm sure they will be using soon ...

personally , I watched Chris Bridgewater go back to flat arms & sway bars when the traction came up at Trcr on the Show Down race .
He use the gulls right up to a day or so before the race .
Chris TQ , 2nd place over all .
His truck looked best ...
