bought b4.2 instead of 22b
 

Well I was set on buying a 22b, but a few local racers, many of whom i respect told me that I should go with the b4.2 as my first blinky, because most of the local here run b4s and I will be able to get more help on that rig. My question is as follows, Do you think once I learn how to setup and run a buggy that I should go back to Losi? Or is this one of those never ending arguments about which rc is better?

Its never ending. Both buggies are great. I'd say stick to the b4.2 since you already bought it.

the AE is a no brainer, more support !
One factor may be what other vehicles you run so you have some compatibility there.

yep right choice. lighter and more aggresive which are needed traits in a stock class.

does rpm make arms for the b4.2? I see em for the b3.. not the b4

For racing I avoid anything rpm except maybe ballcups and gear covers.

Run the b4.2 and never look back.

RPM stuff is more durable because it is more flexible. Flexible is not a characteristic you want in a race car suspension component.

As for which car you run and when, pick something and go with it. If this is the first time you have had a car for the track, the only aspect of which car you chose should be based solely on which car you can get parts for most easily. Driving on the track is way more difficult than driving around on the street and you are going to break a lot more stuff. You are looking at a solid 2 to 3 years of racing before you will really be able to have any clue what your doing, and that is if you are smart.

The 22 is super tough and plenty fast out of the box. I expect the ae gets a slight nod since it should be lighter and a tad more responsive. Even with that said I love my tlr after owning both an ae and tlr.
