How could I have forgotten threaded shocks??? and as for the body, I rather have mine painted, instead of paying 25.00 or 30.00 for it to be painted! LOL

4WD looks like a great class, I would really like to see it become more popular. The only way I can see this happening is if a company like AE gets involved.

I know this is an old thread but has anyone got the TC3 O conversion. If you ask me its pretty expensive, $200 for the conversion kit, another $250 or so for all the other parts, wheels, tires, shocks, turnbuckels, hinge pins, bell crank, body posts, aluminum steering knuckles, body, steel diffs, then add another $279 for the tc3. That comes to $729.00 for everything not including electronics. You could do it cheaper by buying used parts and a used tc3 to complete the kit but its still expensive especially for a kit that has little reputation good or bad. Maybe I'll have to settle for a XXX4 Even with its problems its still way cheaper the the O.

AE only sells the conversion? Not a complete 4wd kit?

Rc Product Designs sells the conversion, not AE.

AE has never produced a 4WD Off-Road Kit (conversion or otherwise). The Best 4WD related AE kit is the DURANGO designed by Gerd Strenge in Germany:

http://durango.rc10.de/

A truly amazing shaft driven 4WD converted AE TC3. It makes the TC3 "O" conversion kit's stuff look like a few extra hop-ups. The Durango recently won a few big races with some of AE's top drivers (as shown on the website and recently in some mags). The only true drawback of this awesome perfoming 4WD for most is it's heavy price tag. So far though this is the only 4WD kit that can consistently take down Losi's XXX-4. It also seems to be tougher and sturdier as well.

Default TC3"O"

Dan an Carlos sold out of their first run. They are currently redesigning their conversion. New kick up plate, shock towers, slipper, MIP cvd's and their own body. So hopfully soon they will be producing more kits. They also have brought their machining inhouse.
