If you want to use Hitec, I would not get anything in the 600 series. The 3 core motors are more prone to failure than the 5 core or the coreless servos.

I have had a much higher failure rate with Hitec, but in certain cases it has to do with the servos that I have selected for certain applications.

Throttle/brake is is much harder on the servo motor. Do not select a 3 core or a digital servo for this application. Use a 5 core or even better, a corelesss analog servo.

Steering seems to be harder on the gears in a servo. They do work the motor as well, but plastic gear breakage is quite common as well. I would still use a 5 core, or a coreless over a 3 core. Digital works well on steering. Metal gear is highly suggested.

My opinions, but the info regarding digital servos on throttle/brake was given to me by Hitec and Airtronics.

I run a Hot Bodies Stadium with Hitec 645mg for gas and a 5645mg digital for steering seems okay to me In my Revo I run Airtronics 94357z for gas and 94359z for steering overkill yes but but worth every penny

Another servo I like if you can find it is the Futaba S9402 . I picked up one of these as the deal for a NIB one is about $50, and it specs at about 110 oz of torque and .11 transit time at 6Vs.

I put this in my T4 and it works quite well. One thing I did notice however is the case on it is alittle strange compared to what I am used to with hitec ( or maybe its the other way around ). I was going to put this in my Academy SB 4wd buggy but the servo wouldn't mount correctly with the Academy Mounts. I would have to dremel the case. Just stuck with my 925MG in my buggy.

I'm not here to bash a Hitec servo but after a half of season of racing,it will bnot center anymore.Their is now 5 people I race with that have the same problem.(Just my two cents.)
