Electric / Nitro track...Imput
 

Racing,Racing and more racing that is all that have ben going though my head lately.About two days ago my mother and father proposed a idea about me building my own track.I have about a 45 acer polt with a old barn and a few pecan trees witch makes a perfect place for a rc track.I have acsess to all the equipment needed to carry out a project of this status.( Skid steer,backhoe,and a small front end loader)I have completed small projects before but nothing of this scale im just looking for some advice from some who has build a track before and might be able to give me some pointers or tips on what to do and what to watch out for.If i start something i finish it i dont do thing half ass.

Also if you have a cool track layout please share your ideas

There are several threads if you search through with lots of good thoughts and ideas..

I guess for starters though; consider water both on wetting the track down and how it will drain. Having a track that can drain properly is often the key to enjoying it depending on where you live. Think about direction for the pit lane for the nitro guys. Don't put big jumps etc in front of small ones (clear line of site). Think about the sun and drivers vision when you construct your drivers stand.

Yea those are two really good keys,drainage and lines of sight.
The track would be located on a very slight decline for natural drainage and for lines of sight i would need my basic track layout before i would have to worry with that.....Thanks for your advice
