So my esc fried, im guessing it was undersized for the truck.

Now im looking in to doing a big block conversion to avoid this issue again. I'm going to do the conversion using brushed summit parts, not tenbol (its more affordable this way).

As far as motor/esc and gearing this one has me stumped.

1. Seeing how i cant find a good deal out there for a used setup, i am looking at the castle sidewinder sct esc and 1410 3800kv motor.

2. For Gearing im thinking of going with a 50t spur and a 31 or 32t pinion.

The reason i have chosen these is because id like to go 40ish using 2s lipo. i verified at this website (scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/top_speed.html).

My big question is, will this work without overheating the motor and esc???

its been a while since ive messed with the mini's but y don't u start lower on the pinons to be safe an see incase u don't get help..

yer motor and esc choice sounds good to it is a mini I guess.. I used to use a tekin rs setup, an sv2 esc on another car with tekin an novac 540 motors, titan 12t, n ran fine... but start low on the pinion.
