I received my v2 bce chassis from Bill yesterday. I have to say this thing is sweet. The fit and finish are top notch to say the least! Thx Bill

Default First race with 2.0

I was at Norcal Hobbies Wednesday night racing for my first time ever in Rookie SCT.
Had a great time! Truck is amazing. I copied one of the setups that is in this thread, I THINK Ryan's second setup from 40 days ago.
Truck is VERY predictable and well balanced.

I qualified 1st in both of the qualifying sessions and was 2nd in the A main, and finished 4th cause of a mistake by me, being too cautious.

Had a great time, truck is FAST and great support here from the Team Drivers!

Is there any upgrades in steering links. There is major slop in steering (SCTE 1.0).

The 7075 rod ends that come with the 2.0 are supposedly more durable than the stock one's from the 1.0. Aluminum just seems like the wrong material for the application to me so I have been replacing mine with...don't panic...Tekno rod ends. They are not an exact fit but I like to tinker so I've gotten them to work. They are loads more precise than the 1.0 rod ends over the long haul.

We have used 7075 hard anodized aluminum balls in these linkages on all of our race vehicles for years. These provide the best balance of wear, weight, and slip under bindage over many of the steel balls we have tested.

Hi Nitroalm,

Looks great!!!

Was your truck 1.0 or 2.0?

If its a 2.0 what is the model no of the BCE chassis part no for it? I am just trying to figure out if its worth getting for the 2.0?

Your thoughts? Thanks

Change the rod ends and pivot balls if needed.

I just bolted up a BCE v2 chassis on my 2.0 truck. It went together with factory precision. Fit and finish is perfect, no grinding, filing or forcing parts to fit. Great job BCE. Here Re a few pics of the build. I left the same setup I had on it for comparison. Hitting the track in a couple hours

Also just for clarification there are 3 BCE chassis's currently offered for the scte
  • V1 - made for the scte 1.0 truck (the original BCE chassis for this truck)
  • H1 - made for the scte 1.0 truck to allow it co be converted to a 1.0/2.0 hybrid (hence the H) using the 1.0 front and rear clips/ center with the addition of the 2.0 side guards, f/r chassis braces and battery hold down system (these parts must be purchased separately) This option gives e 1.0 owners the advantage of the new motor/ esc configuration
  • V2 - made for the scte 2.0 truck

Send bill an email. Or order as advised above.

I got the v2 BCE onto the track last night. It's a small-med outdoor clay track. I left the setup exactly the same setup on the truck so a direct comparison could be made. The truck was instantly easier to drive harder, it felt more predictable in the corners, stability was retained and had an overall feel that it could be pushed harder without it biting back. I ended up 2nd overall and had the fastest lap of the night. The driver of the winning truck told me he had to step it up outside his comfort zone, a couple mistakes on a track with high 19 sec laps settled me into 2nd. Now ill mess with the setup a little and dial it in a little more. Great product
